Catholic Services Appeal

"Encountering Christ, Transforming Lives."

As our parishes embark on a transformative journey from maintenance to mission, guided by the Diocesan-wide Pastoral Plan for Evangelization, the theme for the 2025/2026 Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) is fittingly "Encountering Christ, Transforming Lives."

This initiative is crucial for revitalizing our parish communities, ensuring their vibrancy and sustainability. While weekly offertory collections are vital, no single parish can thrive alone. The CSA provides indispensable support for diocesan-wide programs, services, and ministries, forming the very backbone of our collective efforts.

As Pope Leo XIV emphasized, our offerings are not just funds; they are an act of offering ourselves to God, consecrated for the necessities of the Church and for the poor. Giving engages our whole lives, not just our hearts and voices, but our resources and priorities.

This means your contributions to the CSA are among the most impactful donations you can make this year. Your gifts support the education of our seminarians - our future parish priests - encourage vocations to religious and married life, help our youth deepen their relationship with God, and provide essential parish management and fundraising support. These gifts are not mere "human uses," but vital for the Church to fulfill its divine mission and serve those in need.

The total goal this year is $2.4 million, a slight increase from the past several years.

Meet our Catholic Lakes Cluster Seminarians!

The scope of CSA services and ministries makes giving to the Appeal as important as any donation you may make this year. Your gifts support the education of our seminarians; your future parish priests encourage religious vocations and vocations to married life, help our youth continue to grow in relationship with God, and provide parish management and fundraising support.

Over Thirty Programs, Services, and Ministries

When you contribute to the CSA you help families, young adults, senior citizens, students, and the entire parish.

  • to sponsor multiple programs for youth and lay ministry,
  • to advocate in many ways for the protection of life in our society,
  • to care for the handicapped, elderly and less fortunate,
  • to encourage candidates for the priesthood, and befriend seminarians,
  • to enable seminarians, deacons and lay leaders to complete their education,
  • to help parishes receive assistance in seeking grants for many ministries and building projects,
  • to provide faith support for college students in the Newman Centers on college campuses,
  • to provide for the education of children and youth in our Religious Education and our Catholic School Systems,
  • to provide parish assistance in administration, management, and fundraising.
  • to help married couples strengthen their bonds.
  • to help congregations so that they can experience new vitality in their worship.
  • And so very much more.

No parish could exist without the CSA

Placing your gifts at the service of others unlocks the fullness of Christ.  It turns little or nothing into enough and more.

No parish could exist on its own without the annual Catholic Services Appeal (CSA). It is a "united parish" campaign that funds over thirty vital programs, services, and ministries throughout our 16-county Diocese. As wide-ranging as they are, they have one thing in common. They touch each one of us! The Appeal reaches across parish boundaries, tying us together with a common thread in areas of Education, Service, Worship, Prayer, Social Concern, Charity and so very much more.

Every diocese has an annual Catholic appeal much like the CSA. Ours has a strong and exemplary record of efficiently meeting the many vital needs of our faith community each year in northern Wisconsin.

"Encounter Christ, Transforming Lives"

The Catholic Services Appeal represents our shared commitment as a community in the Diocese of Superior to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. By acknowledging the blessings we receive from God and sharing our resources generously, we ensure that crucial ministries of the Church receive the financial support they need. Empowered by the Holy Spirit and sustained by the Eucharist, we actively strive to spread the Gospel message and foster a culture of stewardship that sustains our diocesan mission and extends to the broader Church.

As stewards of the Catholic Services Appeal, we pledge ourselves to seek financial contributions and acts of philanthropy that align with Christ's call to selflessness. Through our baptismal vows, we embrace our role as disciples of Christ, entrusted with the responsibility of sharing the transformative power of His Gospel. Guided by the commandment to love God and our neighbors, we serve the Lord by addressing the needs of all people, both within our community and beyond. In doing so, we aim to make a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of those around us.

With faith in God's grace, we pray for the continued ability to steward our gifts for the advancement of His kingdom here on earth.
